Matthew Matt James, born on the 5th of December, 1991, on the 5th of December, 1991 in North Carolina. He is the is the son of Manny James, as well as Patty James of mixed race. He has a Nigerian mother as well as an American caucasian father. His father is Nigerian, and his mother is an American of caucasian descent. He was a graduate of Sanderson High School in 2010 and then attended Wake Forest University, where the Bachelor's Degree was awarded to him from the Department of Economics in 2015. James gained fame when he made his screen debut on the reality television star for The Bachelorette. In 2020, he was chosen to be the next bachelor in season 25, which was the only African American male lead which later premiered in 2021. James's appearance, size and personality made him a good fit for the role. Rachael Krakconnell, whom James chose as his girlfriend to date through the remainder of the season. He was paired with the famous dancer Arnold in 2021 and competed in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold were ranked 12th.
